We’re looking for a Senior AI Engineer (GenAI + Backend) who will play a key role in building, shipping, and scaling AI-powered features that deliver tangible value to our users. If you’re passionate about building reliable systems, working with cutting-edge AI models, and mentoring engineers along the way, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do
- Ship AI-powered features end-to-end - from ideation and planning to development, deployment, and iteration based on user feedback.
- Design and build scalable backend systems using Python, FastAPI, Postgres, and Redis.
- Integrate and experiment with GenAI tools (OpenAI API, Gemini, etc.) to power intelligent product features.
- Work on long-running AI workflows using agents-sdk, tool calling, handoffs, and prompt orchestration.
- Collaborate across teams - product, design, data science, and infrastructure — to ensure smooth execution and alignment.
- Establish and uphold best practices in AI engineering, model integration, and code quality.
- Conduct code reviews, help unblock and mentor junior developers, and contribute to a high-performing engineering culture.
- Stay current with the latest models, frameworks, and techniques to continuously enhance quality and reliability.
What We’re Looking For
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with Python, FastAPI, Postgres, and Redis.
- 1+ years of experience working with GenAI APIs and tools (e.g., OpenAI, Gemini, Anthropic, etc.).
- Experience designing and maintaining robust distributed systems using Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including sprint planning and iterative delivery.
- Strong understanding of AI feature development workflows - including prompt engineering, tool integration, and runtime reliability.
- A collaborative, ownership-driven mindset - able to work independently while keeping stakeholders aligned.
Bonus: Exposure to PHP or legacy system integrations.
